TORONTO, ON, November 17, 2021 – Likewize (formerly Brightstar) continues to build momentum from its recent transformative rebrand, as well as major investments in Dallas, TX and Crewe, UK, TX, with notable growth in its Canadian operations. Likewize’s new office in Downtown Toronto and expansive fulfilment centre in the Greater Toronto Area will support its ongoing growth in the region. The facility will drive job growth and expand the company’s capabilities in the market to introduce new levels of innovation and services to its Canadian customers.
Likewize strategically relocated its Markham, ON, office to the Toronto downtown business district to position itself closer to key customers in the market, capitalize on growth opportunities, and streamline local operations. The investment in this region also includes a new fulfilment centre located at 280 Hunters Valley Road, Vaughan, ON, which will house Likewize’s comprehensive service operations. The new facility is expected to create 60 local jobs, as well as process 2.8 million devices and accessories each year. Likewize continues to partner with global automation and technology providers to deliver its best-in-class range of after-sales products and services to customers. Likewize services cover people against every potential eventuality, whether a device is lost, stolen, damaged, malfunctioning, in need of an upgrade or someone doesn’t know how to do something, Likewize has the solution.
“Canada is a very important market for Likewize, and these investments are testimony to that and demonstrate our commitment to our key customers in that country.” said Rod Millar, CEO, Likewize. “These moves will allow us to introduce new levels of automation and technology to help streamline and accelerate our operations. People rely on their devices more than ever before meaning any problems with their tech causes significant interruption in their lives, so we innovate and invest to shorten the resolution times and improve the customer experience. That’s what people need; that’s what we are focused on.”
The investment in the Greater Toronto Area follows a period of noticeable growth and new customer offerings for Likewize, specifically in the Canadian market. In October 2020, Likewize brought its WeFix smartphone repair services to select locations across the region. The expert repair service provides customers with a one stop destination for their complete mobile device repairs, including problems with batteries, broken screens, cameras, audio, software and more – all delivered within hours.
“Now more than ever, customers realize that device protection and easy access to rapid, trusted repair services is critical to keeping them connected,” continued Millar. “We’re proud to bring these services to the Canadian market as we continue to redefine device protection, repair, renewal, and support.”
Likewize is the result of a comprehensive rebrand of the company formally known as Brightstar, designed to showcase the transformation from its origin as a mobile phone distributor to the complete tech protection and support provider it has become. Under the new name ‘Likewize’, the company is committed to advancing the world by making people’s technology problems painless and finding a solution to any problem they may encounter.
